Ensemble Arts is the leading performing arts non-profit in Philadelphia. For the 2024 Season identity, I wanted to double down on the diverse and transformative nature of their shows by developing a system of modular hand-drawn typography.

The performing arts world has become elite and traditional; this rebrand is a reminder that it can be fun! The custom typography, youthful colors, and exciting graphic elements work to bring a new generation to the audience.
Each performance receives its own bespoke typographic lockup and poster with a controlled hierarchy of hand-written type for secondary and tertiary information. Green lines weave in and out like a conductor’s baton.

The identity extends naturally into motion with letters transforming into all shapes and sizes, much like the diverse and human-made shows that Ensemble Arts showcases.
